RESEARCH

I investigated and reported on working conditions for ILRF.

Products are not born on supermarket shelves. Farmers and factory workers labor to make them. As Americans, we may not realize that the majority of these workers suffer awful conditions.

I investigated and wrote about these conditions for ILRF. To the left is an exposé I wrote on human trafficking in the palm oil industry. It tells the stories of women, men, and children who are seriously exploited by American household brands.

DESIGN

Together with a UX designer, I revamped ILRF's brand, website and print materials.

While at ILRF, I also worked with a UX designer to modernize the organization's brand. In the end, even after much back-and-forth, our designs were poorly translated by ILRF's tech contractor. ILRF was also unable to maintain our branding. The experience taught me the importance of working with a skilled front-end programmer and setting realistic content parameters.

My mobile site is still under construction. Please see the desktop version for details on this project. Apologies for the inconvenience!
