OVERVIEW
Google:
Supporting world-class products with users' perspectives.
About: I conducted research for Google's new weather app and supported a suite of Android
releases.
Role: UX Researcher (2023), UX Research Assistant (2022)
GOOGLE WEATHE APP
As one of two researchers on the team, my work sigificantly influenced the new Google Weather
app.
The app is a complete revamp of Google's weather experience, making it competitive with best in class apps. It was released in 2023 and has received positive press.
I conducted a series of qualitative and quantitative user studies to support and guide UX decisions.
FAST PAIR, NEARBY SHARE & CAST
At Google Pixel,
my research helped devices work better together.
I supported the development of a number of newly launched features with usability testing, foundational research, and diary studies.
With Fast Pair,
Google headphones can connect quickly with other devices.
Nearby Share
enables users to easily share media with nearby devices.
With Cast,
you can watch media from your phone on a larger screen.
Google I/O Keynote
Each of these products were featured prominently inGoogle I/O's 2023 Keynote, which only covers a small portion of the company's work.
UNKNOWN TRACKER ALERTS
My research also supported Pixel'sUnknown Tracker Alerts.
Unknown Tracker Alerts can help protect people from stalking by letting them know when another device (i.e., person) has been traveling with them.
I supported the project's main researcher with usability work that ensured the feature was legible to users.
Google I/O Keynote
Unknown Tracker Alerts
were also featured in Google I/O's 2023 Keynote.
My mobile site is still under construction. Please see the desktop version for details on this project. Apologies for the inconvenience!
